RAN Team Awarded "2006 ACT Project of the Year"

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) team was recognized with the prestigious "2006 ACT Project of the Year" award at this year's Australian Institute of Project Management Awards Ceremony in Canberra, Australia. The award recognizes the expertise, dedication, and hard work by the entire RCS/AN-BYG1 V8 project team, in Australia and the United States. Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow, Inc (ASFT) has been an integral part of the NAVSEA team since its inception, providing technical documentation, computer based simulation tools, and curriculum development.
ASFT employees supporting the project included Christopher Shirey, who led technical documentation development, with primary support from Sandra Pacheco. Interactive Media Instruction (IMI) development was led by Sarah Page, with advanced programming support from Chris Cote. Dave Marchini led training / curriculum development, with primary support from Kelly Brown, Patrick Gallagher, and Marlon Myrick. Stacey Yarrow provided administrative leadership. Multimedia Division employees Miki Barton, Carlton Cobb, Shepperd Luce, and Jacob Goldman provided graphic content and architecture support for the technical manual.
ASFT's Vice President of Government Contracts, Dennis Craft, remarked, "We're extremely proud of the entire RAN team. This reinforces ASFT's reputation as a team player, and strengthens our credentials as a leading provider of government technical and training solutions."
The AN-BYG1 V8 project involved the development of the tactical command and control system for the Collins class submarine. Additional information can be found on the
