ASFT Receives $1.6M to Build Technology Test Bed for NUWC
April 1, 2008Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow Inc. (ASFT) was awarded a task by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (Newport, RI) to support the development of a combat systems technology test bed during calendar year 2008. Through this task, ASFT will support the United States Submarine Force's commitment to reducing the cost of production and operation through technology innovation.
Under this task, ASFT will:
- Investigate open system and open architecture designs for optimal arrangement and organization to successfully and safely execute core submarine missions.
- Build on existing system framework to provide a platform for rapid prototype development, integration, and operational submarine real-world testing.
- Develop intuitive system integration components that will allow operators to rapidly understand system operating procedures, improve situational awareness and minimize personnel requirements.
